REC: Russia’s 2020 non-resource exports rise by 3.5% to $160 bln
MOSCOW, Jan 28 (PRIME) -- Russia’s non-mineral non-energy exports increased by 3.5% on the year to U.S. $160 billion in 2020, CEO of the Russian Export Center (REC) Veronika Nikishina said on Thursday.
"According to the REC, non-mineral non-energy exports will exceed $160 billion in 2020 and their share in the overall exports has got close to a half," Nikishina said.
Nikishina also said that the government is considering excluding gold from the non-mineral export calculation.
"The government is considering which export items are or are not artifacts, for instance… gold exports," she said.
According to the official, the REC sees preconditions for growth of the figure in 2021 even if gold is excluded.
